At Toscano Farms we have a friendly, knowledgeable and professional team that provides riders of all ages and experience levels with a fun, educational and safe horseback riding experience.
Our Horsemanship Program focuses on Western style riding and is positively tailored to each rider's experience level. We have an outstanding selection of professionally trained horses, which enables us to provide safe and gentle mounts for beginning riders and more challenging horses for advanced riders.
What sets us apart from the other alternative equestrian lessons out there? We are not the classical lesson program that drives their students hard without experiencing the fun and interpersonal skill building. While having fun is certainly part of our mission, our commitment is to help each student build the fearless genuine horse connection, provide the foundational skills and empower the student to fulfill their goals.
Beginner
The Beginner program is suitable for ages 6+ that have little to no previous experience.
Intermediate
The Intermediate program is recommended for ages 8+ that have previous horse experience.
Jr. Instructor / Advanced
The Jr. Instructor / Advanced program is recommended for skilled equestrians ages 8+ with a strong depth of horsemanship knowledge, control and confidence.
To ensure the safety of each participant and make certain that the participants current horsemanship knowledge is progressed and challenged at the precise level & speed, Toscano Farms staff will assess the participants experience level at the first scheduled session and assign the appropriate program level.
Horsemanship Program Details
In each of our programs, students are challenged at their pace and can focus on individual goals in a supportive environment.
Students will have fun, strengthen their confidence and build a connection with the horses, all while covering a wide range of fundamental horsemanship education.
At the successful completion of the student's current program's curriculum requirements, the student will advance to the next program level. Advancements are celebrated with the student performing a knowledge demonstration and receives an award for their hard work and success.
Beginners will start with learning the 7 foundational principles. Each level thereafter will advance these principles, integrate trotting skills and refine specific skills tailored to each student. For the more advanced rider, focus on advancing horse groundwork skills, continue the horse/human connection with continued saddle time and directly concentrate on the skills needed for their equestrian journey, whether it be pleasure riding, barrel racing, roping and/or becoming a lesson instructor.

Toscano Farms Horsemanship Program Fee is $350/per month.
There is a one time $25 non-refundable registration fee.
Program includes:

Use of Toscano Farms tack/saddle & grooming equipment, including helmet.

Toscano Farms uniform top.

One 1-hour recurring private lesson each week.

Saturday group sessions for Teambuilding/Social skill building; student is welcome and encouraged to attend both Saturday sessions, but the program requires the student to sign-up & attend at least one (1) Saturday session.
